Exciting Times

 In Pastor's Message

These are exciting times at Holy Cross MCC of Pensacola.  With exciting worship, outreach ministries, affinity groups, expressions of care and concern for one another, we are living out God’s calling to develop blessed community right here where we are.  Thanks for all you’re doing to plug in to what God is doing.

This Sunday we will enjoy a very special guest preacher, The Rt. Rev. Grant Lynn Ford.  Grant has been a very good friend to Al and me for many years.  His work in MCC and other places has been remarkable.  He’s a fine preacher and a wonderful person.  Be here with us on Sunday to meet and experience him.

Immediately after the Morning Worship Celebration the Board of Directors and I will offer a Congregational Forum.  We have some very exciting news to share with the membership of the church.  Come with great anticipation.  Come with excitement. Come with hearts open to the Spirit as we share this very exciting opportunity with you.

Allow me to highlight some upcoming opportunities in our community, and please mark your calendars now.  You won’t want to miss these;

May 8                    10:00AM                              Rev. Jes Morgan preaches/Mother’s Day

May 15                 10:00AM                              Pentecost Sunday with Unique sermon

May 22                 10:00AM                              “Traditional” Morning Worship Celebration

May 29                 10:00AM                              “Homecoming” style Service

Coming Soon – Father’s Day with musical guests Jason & DeMarco Jason and DeMarco Sample.

This Sunday’s sermon is entitled, “What is it You Want”.  What do YOU want – in relationship with your community, in relationship with your church and in your relationship with God?  Give that some thought between now and Sunday and come prepared to hear what God’s Spirit is saying to us…together.

Have a wonderful weekend and remember to bring some people with you to church. 10 more than last Sunday will just about fill the room.  I’ll see you in church.
